Mining ecosystem financing provides funding to all business entities involved in a single mining project. This target market was selected because it offers several advantages: easier marketing, more efficient financing risk analysis, improved cash flow monitoring, and the ability to offer multiple financing solutions.
The term "ecosystem" is used to describe the supply chain. The mining ecosystem is divided into four major clusters: 1) Izin Usaha Pertambangan (IUP) Owner; 2) Mining Contractor Services; 3) Mining Transportation; and 4) Equipment Provider Services.
IUP Owner requires financing services for infrastructure development. This involves numerous construction service companies building roads and bridges, offices, workshops, warehouses, ports, and more.
Mining contractors represent the greatest potential for all financing companies. Their primary task is to produce mining products. They require substantial investment and working capital financing, including investments in heavy equipment, trucks, and other supporting equipment. Working capital is needed for equipment mobilization, fuel and spare parts inventory, and to maintain operational cash flow.
Like mining contractors, transportation service providers require significant financing. Investments are required to purchase trucks, barges, and transport vessels. Working capital financing is allocated to purchase fuel, spare parts, and others operational costs.
The mining sector is a key market for Heavy Equipment and Truck distributors. Equipment supply solutions include new/used sales, rentals, spare parts, and repair services. Close collaboration between Distributors and Financing Institutions is essential.
